It looks like The NFL is trying to get on our good side and it may be working. This is a major money move. Sources say Jay Z partnering with The NFL with put him in charge of managing some entertaining options for the league, which will also tie into the sports social justice efforts.
What does all this mean? In this new partnership, Roc nation will reportedly co-produce the #SuperBowl halftime show, meaning they will choose entertainers who will perform in NFL content throughout the season. The deal does not contain a provision for Jay to be the halftime performer. So, don’t get excited to quick.
The Commissioner Roger said when it comes to Jay “He was very quick to say that he does not want this to be about him performing that it was broader than that”.
The Commissioner said “It quickly went beyond that. Do I hope he’ll perform in the Super Bowl sometime in the next several years? Yes. But I think we’ll all know if that time comes. He’ll know in particular.”
Sources say Jay has a lot of freedom in this new role and I believe it because Jay Z wouldn’t agree to any thing less.
Remember Jay Z said in Ape Sh*t “you need me I don’t need you” lol.
Jay Z said “I think we have autonomy, anticipate that there will be a lot of — with any big organization, in this building right here we have internal problems. Anything that’s new is going to go through its growing pains. We put what we want to do on the table. The NFL agreed to it. So, we’re gonna proceed with that as if we have a partnership.”
