JUSSIE SMOLLETT IS BACK IN COURT BUT SAYS THIS IS DOUBLE JEOPARDY! THINGS WERE A LITTLE CHAOTIC!

Jussie Smollett returns to court with an things were entourage. Things were a little chaotic, but he made his way into his arraignment where he faces 6 new felony counts of lying to cops. There has been a motion filled to dismiss his new criminal case in Chicago and he’s basically arguing double jeopardy. He says he can’t be tried again because he’s already been penalized before.
Jussie said he forfeited his $10,000 as restitution to the city of Chicago a year a go when charges were initially dropped. He is arguing, that was his official punishment and was recorded as his penalty. He feels he can’t be tried again because this would be considered double jeopardy.
It was very interesting that the Osundairo brothers showed up. They came with their attorney. The attorney spoke to reporters apologizing for the brother’s involvement and added that they are willing to testify.
Jussie plead not guilty and he is scheduled to return back to court on March 18th. We will keep you posted on new developments.
