We all know and love Kevin Hart well, most of us do. He has stirred things up in the LGBT community and Don Lemon had a couple things to say. Kevin has apologized over and over again about the tweets, but some think the way he can turn this situation around is by being The Ally or Spokesperson for the LGBT community. Don Lemon says Kevin can be the Lead Ultimate Change Agent. Don Lemon feels Kevin Hart could have a huge impact in changing homophobia. He said Kevin could change the way the black community feels about the LGBT community. He’s one of the biggest stars right? People may listen to him, right? These things may be true, but Kevin doesn’t have any desire to be the spokesperson for the LGBT community and that’s his right. Kevin can’t be blamed for this. This isn’t his life dream. Kevin said he was wrong and now he’s aware of how his words hurt people. He now knows how this community feels. Kevin Hart says he doesn’t like the forcing and the pressure being put on him to now be a spokesperson. Kevin also said he can’t control if people forgive him or not, but he hopes they do. Don Lemon feels we have to hold people accountable and call them out but at the same time he doesn’t want to bully Kevin Hart because people in the LGBT community get bullied themselves all too often. Nobody is perfect, and Kevin has apologized more than enough. He’s human. Hopefully Kevin can move pass this and focus on family and career.
