THE GRAND OPENING OF TYLER PERRY'S STUDIOS WAS EVERYTHING!

Its so hard to believe this man once slept in his car. He is now a screen writer, producer, and playwright. He has made history. He is the only African American to own his own major movie studio in the U.S. Many A listers were there to celebrate. Just to name a few Oprah Winfrey, Cecily Tyson, Taraji P. Henson, Jill Scott, Whoopi Goldberg, Keshia Knight Pulliam, Spike Lee, Ava DuVernay, Beyonce, Jay Z and Halle Berry. The politicians even came out. A couple months back Tyler was accepting an award and said he built his studio in the poorest Black neighborhood in Atlanta so the kids can see that a Black man did this and they could too. The studio was once a confederate army base during the Civil War when the south fought to keep Black people enslaved. The studio holds 12 sound stages for movie productions. He dedicated each soundstage to a Black person who's made strides in Hollywood. Tyler we love you and couldn't be more proud of you.
