EJ Said Nobody Wanted to Wait for Rihanna… Then the Hotel Made Him Wait Outside!

Friends, Paris Fashion Week has given us beautiful clothes, celebrity entrances, and now a fresh serving of fashion karma.

EJ Johnson recently attended the Dior fashion show, where Rihanna’s highly anticipated arrival reportedly delayed the start of the event.

During a recap, EJ praised the show but made it clear that the guests were not excited about waiting for Rihanna.

According to EJ, the show started about an hour late because Rihanna had not arrived, adding, “We didn’t care to wait for her.”

Well, somebody cared because the show apparently did not begin until Rihanna arrived and took her seat.

EJ may not have wanted to wait for Rihanna, but Dior said, “Nobody moves until the billionaire is seated.”

I Would Have Waited for Rihanna

Let me say this now. I love Rihanna.

If I attended a Dior fashion show and somebody announced that Rihanna was running late, I would have gotten comfortable.

Bring me a glass of champagne, a snack, and a phone charger because I am not leaving until Rihanna decides to show up.

I would have waited the entire hour and then acted surprised when she arrived.

That is Rihanna! 🥰

She gave us the music, the fashion, the makeup, the lingerie, and the billionaire energy. If she needs a little extra time to make an entrance, I understand.

Besides, if I have already made it inside a Dior fashion show, where exactly am I rushing off to?

I am sitting in that chair and enjoying every expensive minute.

Then Came the Plot Twist

Shortly after EJ’s comments about Rihanna went viral, another video began circulating that appeared to show EJ being blocked by security from entering the hotel where he was staying.

A private event was reportedly taking place inside, and security was not allowing EJ through the entrance.

Imagine paying for a room, arriving at the door, and security looking at you like you are trying to sneak into somebody’s cousin’s birthday party.

EJ was not trying to crash the event. He was reportedly trying to enter his hotel.

But the door said no.

Then Rihanna Entered the Chat

Rihanna apparently saw the video and responded with one word:

“Damn.”

That was it.

No paragraph.

No livestream.

No Notes app explanation.

Just “Damn.”

And somehow, that one word carried an entire suitcase full of shade through the lobby.

Rihanna did not have to say, “You did not want to wait for me, and now they have you waiting outside.”

The internet understood the assignment.

One little “Damn” said everything that needed to be said.

Fashion Karma Works Quickly

The timing could not have been more perfect.

EJ had just told the world that nobody cared to wait for Rihanna, and then security had EJ standing outside like his name was not on the reservation.

Rihanna arrived when she was ready, and the fashion show waited.

EJ arrived at his hotel, and the hotel said, “Please remain outdoors.”

That is the difference between attending Fashion Week and being one of the people Fashion Week stops for.

Rihanna is not simply attending Paris Fashion Week. Rihanna arriving is part of Paris Fashion Week.

The models may be backstage.

The lights may be ready.

The music may be cued.

But if Rihanna’s chair is empty, everybody needs to get comfortable.

My Final Take

I do understand that some attendees may not have wanted to wait, but I would have happily waited for Rihanna.

If she arrived an hour late, I would have said she was right on time.

If she arrived two hours late, I would have ordered another drink.

If she arrived after the show ended, I would have asked whether Dior planned to run it back for her.

That is how much I love Rihanna.

And when she responded to EJ’s hotel situation with one simple “Damn,” I laughed because the timing was too perfect.

Nobody screamed. Nobody fought. Nobody wrote a ten page statement.

EJ made a comment, the hotel door refused to cooperate, and Rihanna dropped one word before returning to being fabulous.

The lesson here is simple:

Before announcing that nobody wants to wait for Rihanna, make sure security is willing to open the door for you.

Would you have waited an hour for Rihanna to arrive, or would you have been ready for the fashion show to begin? 💋
